If I plead guilty to charges, can I later appeal the verdict?

If you were in district court you have 10 days from the day of court to appeal the case to superior court. All you do is walk into the Clerk of Court in the county you appeared in and say you want to appeal your case. If you decide not to appeal the case you can drop the appeal before you are to appear in superior court, but there will be a 100 fine for dropping the appeal in addition to paying the costs of court.

There is something called a Motion for Appropiate Relief that a lawyer can do in front of a judge to re-open a case, but some judges won't do it.
