Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in North Carolina

wills and estate

My wife is one of the beneficiaries to her grandmothers estate. Her sister is the ececutor. Her grandmother owed no one. It has been over 2 years. The available money dispursed does not add up. The house has not sold and is currently off the market. There is no attorney anymore and her sister refuses to give anymore money until the house is sold. Her sister says she has no more money to dispurse. How can my wife get the correct amount of money that she deserves? All of the beneficiaries live in different states.

Re: wills and estate

You can start by looking at the file in the Clerk's office estate division - the Executor is required to file annual reports. If you have further concerns, contact an attorney in that county.
