Re: injury at work

More facts are needed to tell whether you have a compensable injury under NC workers' compensation law. However, it is likely you have a claim if you suffered an "accident" when you injured your shoulder. Was there a slip, trip, fall, or other interruption of your normal work routine? You can file a claim by filing a Form 18/33 with the NC Industrial Commission within two years of your date of injury. Suggest you review their Bulletin of helpful info as well.

If you were fired BECAUSE you exercised your rights in filing a WC claim, you can file a complaint with the NC Dept of Labor/WORD Division (within 180 days).

A link to the NC Industrial Commission can be found on our website at ncworkcomp.com. Good luck!
