Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio

Issued a summons for credit card debt

I am being sued for an old credit card bill. I have been issued a summons and need to respond. I would like to try and pay this bill before it goes to court, but don't know how to proceed. Do I need a lawyer? How do I answer the summons? Where would I find a lawyer for this kind of case?
