Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Ohio

Age Discrimmination Sports Law

My daughter is 9 years old and was told by a private gym that she could not try out for a team because of her age

(she was too young). However at tryouts there were girls placed on this team that were younger than the stated grade levels the gym had set. My daughter exceeds the skill level of other girls on this team but the head coach refuses to put my daughter on the team. This coach has some personal issues with me due to an applicant I had referred to the gym for employment. He asked me if this applicant was homosexual and when I replied yes he berated me and said that ''there was no way he was going to work with a gay guy in a coaching environment). Could you please advise me of the law in this area? I will be glad to provide other details if necessary.

The coach is allowed to decide for whatever reason he wants, who he coaches. You may not like what you think his reasoning is....but he is allowed to not coach your daughter. He will likely think of another reason to justify his actions.
