Legal Question in Technology Law in Ohio

Buying DVDs

This website says they sell DVDs offered nowhere else. I really want one of the shows on that site, but I am unsure whether or not it is legal to buy from them (in the United States that is). Here is the site:

www.tvdvdworld.tv

Is it legal to buy from this website in the United States? Thanks a lot!

Re: Buying DVDs

The more important question is whether it is legal for them to sell the DVDs. Assuming you have no reason to believe that the copies they sell are infringing, then buying them should not create any liability. The copyright distribution right is infringed by them if they sell infringing copies to you. Before buying, you may want to research the site to see what customers say about them. One site I came across is http://www.complaintsboard.com/bycompany/tvdvdworldtv-a31688.html. I can't know whether the complaints are legitimate, but my point is that even if it is legal to buy them, and even if the copies are legitimate, you still owe it to yourself to research who you pay money to.

This is not legal advice, and I am not your lawyer.
