Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

Aggravated menacing

Saturday night my boyfriend/father of our 2 girls came to my house and there were people at my house and I was intoxicated severely. He was uspset because of the 2 guys that were over and threatned them with a knife. I was to drunk to write a statement. Am I required by law to write a statement? This was my fault and I don't want him to get charged with 3 counts of Aggravated menacing and domestic violence. He didn't stab someone and has no violence in his background. This was not like hime and I want to do what I can to help him out, despite the fact he hates me know. I would love advise. Thank you Amanda

Re: Aggravated menacing

You will need to cooperate with the police so that you do not get into any trouble. You only need to report on what you know. If you were too drunk to really know what was going on, you should tell the police that you want to do all that you can to help them but you really do not know what happened.

Good luck
