Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

I have a granddaughter who is 6 months old. My daughter (her mother) is 18 and bipolar. They both have lived with me from the get go. My granddaughter received WIC and medicaid health insurance. Everything else is paid by me. My daughter constantly leaves her baby with me so she can go out with her friends. When she does have the baby, she isn't taken care of properly. The baby's dad has recently been charged with a felony 4 of sexual misconduct with a minor. I would like to get temporary custody of the baby as I feel it is the best thing right now. How do I go about that and are there any other options?

In Ohio, you will need to petition the Juvenile Court for emergency custody. The best way to do that is to hire a local attorney in your area who has experience with the Juvenile Court, particularly one who has had experience as a Guardian Ad Litem to guide you through the process.
