spousal support
My divorce settlement says I am to get a specified amount of spousal support for 8 years. If my exhusband retires before the 8 years have expired, does the spousal support end or the amount get altered?

If the decree says that you get spousal support for 8 years then your ex will have to pay you for 8 years unless he settles with you or goes back to court and argues that he has had a substantial change of circumstances and the spousal support should stop or be reduced.
