Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Ohio

Can I sue a state university dental school?

I received negligent treatment that I think borderlines on malpractice. Can a private individual sue the a state university medical school or just the dentist or both. All work was done by ''Doctors'' or graduate residency personnel.

I won't go into the details, but I definately have a case if the law allows me to proceed. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Can I sue a state university dental school?

The dentist may be an employee and thus immune from suit or an independent contractor and subject to suit. The state university is subject to being sued however the claim may need to be filed in the Ohio Court of Claims. If you would like to provide me with more information on the parties, the substantive aspect of the case perhaps I can advise you further.
