Re: can I sue my babysitter for my daughters broken elbow?

I am sorry to hear about the unfortunate injury to your daughter. The babysitter has the responsibility of protecting your daughter from injury. She placed your daughter at risk and most likely would be responsible for her injuries. That includes medical bills, disfigurement, pain and suffering etc. She may also be responsible to the parents for any additional expenses and a "loss of services" claim.

Hopefully the babysitter has some sort of liability insurance. Homeowners may cover this. It would be a good idea to talk directly to an attorney before you try to resolve this.

I have been handling injury claims for over 30 years and would be happy to discuss this with you in more detail if you want to give me a call. No charge or obligation for the confidential telephone call.

Good Luck!
