Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

If i marry a farmer with debt(equipment,cattle,etc.), do i assume the debt if he passes. he's a few years older than me.

When someone passes away only his or her probate property (property in his or name alone) is used to pay debts. So his real estate, equipment, cattle etc. may need to be sold to pay his debts. You would not become liable for his debts unless you agree to be liable for his debts. You will want to be careful to make sure that you avoid doing so.
