Legal Question in Workers Comp in Ohio

won case workmans comp. before judge . company has own bwc in ohio. they finally paid some salary that was awarded. does our wc attorney get one third of the money ? we have been told they should not.

You need to read the contract you signed with the attorney. Typically the attorney gets one -third (33%) of any back benefits he gets for you but none of the future wage loss unless he has to fight for them thru a hearing or lawsuit. Also, the atty usually gets one-third of any lump sum payments but you need to read the contract because they all differ a little.
