Legal Question in Personal Injury in Oregon

dog bite

I was bitten by a dog, incurred around $12,000 worth of medical bills. The owner and their homeowners ins. deny any responsibility to pay for this. There had been 3 other people bitten by the same dog, but they will not stand up and say so. What, where, who should I go to try and get these medical bills paid for? Thanks for your response.

Re: dog bite

You may be entitled to more than payment of your medical bills. You may be entitled to fair compensation for your pain and suffering and any lost income also. Many lawyers will take personal injury cases on a contingent fee basis which means you don't have to pay the lawyer unless the lawyer obtains a recovery for you. Call me for a consultation if you like. 503-999-8333.

Re: dog bite

With that amount of medical cost, and history of previous dog misconduct, you should definitely retain an attorney to pursue a tort claim against the owner and the insurance company.

I do not handle this sort of work, but I have referred others to Linda Williams (downtown Portland, 224-2647) with success.
