Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Pennsylvania

Bankruptsy and spouse

I declaired bankruptsy but my spouse did not. We had a few creditors together which I thought were just mine at the time of filing (my name is primary on accounts). How do I get bankruptsy off of his credit report? He did not file.He is being denied credit because of me.

Re: Bankruptsy and spouse

I'm not sure exactly what can be done in this situation. I think your best solution would be for your husband to make arrangements with all of the credit cards that were in both your names. If those credit cards are repaid in some way (like a payment arrangement) then I believe the bankruptcy should not have any effect on your husband's credit. The only alternative is for him to clear his credit by filing a bankruptcy. Please feel free to call me to discuss this. ph. (800) 303-0720
