Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Pennsylvania

Unsafe Walk To Bus Stop

I have a 6 year old daughter and a 13 year old son. Their bus stop is a mile away at the end of our road. In order for them to get there if I don't drive them, they have to walk a very secluded, wooded road which I feel is very unsafe especially during hunting season. They have different pick up times also and cannot even walk with anyone. It is dark when my son leaves for the bus and I also feel strongly that this is entirely too long of a walk for a kindergartener, not to mention that she is a girl and is required to walk along a wooded road. I have been told that they must walk this mile to the bus stop. In the next year or so two more children are going to be added to the list of walking this secluded road because they are going to be starting kindergarten. Is there any way I can fight this?

Re: Unsafe Walk To Bus Stop

That depends. Is the road a public road or a private road? There are other variables as well. Call me at 724-845-8340 if you wish to talk about this in more detail.
