Authorized User on Credit Card

I was an authorized user on my mother's credit card. She died in 2000. Now the collection lawyer is suing me. Am I liable for her debt. It is over $5,000.

It would depned if you made an agreeemnt to be responsible for the card. Sometimes, the terms and consitions that are in force specifythat if you are an authorized user and you use the card you are responsible.
