my brother owes credit card debt and lives in my home. am i responsible for his debt. i never co-signed anything.

No. if you did not co sign the credit card account you are not responsible. However if your brother is sued and a judgement is obtained you may have to contend with defending a claim to execute personaly property at your home. In otherwords you may have to prove that the furniture or personal effect are yours and not your brother assuming he is still living with you at the time. I suggest your brother consult with an attorney to assess his situation to avoid future poblems.
