Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

I lost my job and got about 5 months behind on all of my credit cards. One company is taking me to court. If they rule a judgement against me, can they take my car or garnish my wages. I am working part time now and am a senior citizen.

Without knowing all the facts it is difficult to respond. However in general if you live and work in Pennsylvania they cannot garnish your wages if they obtain a judgement against you. If the judgement is against you and you own the car just in your name then it is very possible that they could have the car sold to satisfy the judgement obtained. In any event I suggest you defend your legal action and if possible obtain legal counsel.
