Questionable search and removal

Various construction supplies are stolen. Nails and other small articles. Three 12 year olds are thought to be the guilty party.One 12 year old alone took the articles and placed them in a tree house that was built on one of the childrens grand parents property.After talking to the child suspected of the actural theft,the police go onto the grand parents property without permission or search warrent and remove the stolen property.Is this legal?

Police trespassing and stealing

No, it is not legal. The police were trespassing and stealing. In Ohio, their conduct would amount to Burglary and they would be subject to indictment. Since I am not a PA lawyer, I cannot advise you about PA law. I would suggest contacting the FBI and making a complaint to the FBI for violating the grandparents civil rights.
