Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Technical violator

In July, I signed a form to extend my ARD agreement for 2 more years to pay restitution. I sent it to the collection office where I make my payments instead of the address it came from because I lost the address. I called and let my probation officer know this. Today I get a subpoena that I have to appear in court for a violation hearing.

Do I need a lawyer to represent me? I haven't paid any restitution in the past 2 months due to loss of my job so I know that may look bad going in. Will I go to jail?

Is there anything I can do at this hearing to let them know the restitution will be paid by the end of this extension and not have my butt thrown in jail? The current charge is on theft charges and I just had to do some probation and pay restitution.

With a lawyer and the fact that it is only a technical violation you should be ok. As it is an ARD probation the immediate worst that could happen is that the charges against you are reinstated. I offer free consultations.
