Re: Drunk Driving Conviction

1543(b) of Title 75 will describe the penalties your friend faces. Was this his first 1543(b) offense? Was there alcohol or controlled substance in his system when he was driving?

If it's his first offense with no alcohol etc in his blood, he is looking at 60 days in jail. Whether the county will let him serve it in alternative housing or on house arrest is another question. He can also be violated for breaking his probation and the time can be run consecutive to each other. Laslty, he will lose his licesne for at least an additional year.
