child relocation after fathers death

can the parents of my sons father prevent me from moving out of the state? my son's father passed away and prior to his death gave consent for the move. anticipate objections from parents. do not want to deny visitation to them but can they stop this move?

You asked about relocating with a child.

Generally a non-custodial parent can have some or even significant sway over a custodial parents desire to relocate.

A deceased parent no longer has any rights and very rarely will any other relative be able to assert such rights. Other relatives can do things to make it expensive and miserable but eventually will lose unless the parent is seriously lacking in ability.

Unlikely. They are restricted to the provisions of the grandparent's visitation act.

Was there a custody order that included them?
