Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Medical coverage

My ex lives in PA and filed for divorce is PA. We have a college student who resides with me. He stopped paying support when my son turned 18 however he kept him on his medical coverage through his employer. Now he is leaving his job and told my son he will no longer have coverage. Can I make him resposible to insure my son until he completes college? I told him I would add him on my policy but he would have to pay the difference between what I am paying now and what it will be once my son is added. He refused.

Re: Medical coverage

The duty to support a child end when the child turns 18 or graduates high school which ever happens last. Part of the duty of support is providing medical insurance or in the alternative paying for their share of it. If there is no support order there is no medical insurance unless the parties agree.
