Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Paternity test vs. CYS and Domestic Relations

My best friend became a father almost a year ago. When the baby was born he signed parents stating that he was the father. Alot of things came to his knowledge since then so he got a dna test saying he is not the father. He and the baby's mother have been fighting for custody. Now he wants to just leave the situation knowing the results. CYS and Domestic relations is giving a hard time saying that there will be a court hearing and he may not have an option for a legal dna test (the test he did was a private test). If not then he was told he has to fight for custody against the mother because he is the legal father and whether it is his baby or not he has to pay for her and raise her. Since he is not the father biologically..and they do not have custody of the baby.. and he did sign papers that he was the legal guardian at the time when she was born...but the day she was born CYS took her away. Is everything that he is being told by CYS and Domestic Relations true? What other options does he have to get out of this situation? please help!

Is/was your friend married to the mother? An aknowledgement of paternity can be defeated under certain circumstances. Your friend need sto contact a lawyer as soon as possible to review his situation.
