what are my rights

was divorced in new york state in 1995. was a pa resident at the

time, still am. ex-wife was pa resident in new york less than 1 year.

we settled with agreement proposed by us to avoide a trial. i have

to pay distributive award. i feel i was forced to settle with fear of

worse deal. what are my rights as a pa resident and can i contest

this.

It is not easy to overturn an agreement based on an allegation of coersion. Gnenerally, in most states you only need ot be a resident for 6 months for jurisdiction purposes. But, you need to consult a New York lawyer to review this situation since the divorce was entered in New York.
