Legal Question in Medical Leave in Pennsylvania

FMLA and Vacation Time question....

I am a fireman with 13 years on the job and I used 12 weeks of unpaid family leave this year due to an on the job injury. My employer says that I lose a week of vacation time (I am entitled to 4 weeks with 10 years of service) for next year because of the 12 weeks off. Is this allowed under the FMLA?

Re: FMLA and Vacation Time question....

If the injury happened during the course of employment, you should clearly seek Workers' Comp for the injury's medical bill and wage indemnification protections. that will provide you the most protection. As I don't know the nature of your injury(ies), I might advise you to also inquire of counsel if you have a Heart and Lung case.

Good Luck
