Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Getting my car back

I have a chevy s-10 blazer and my mother is the co-owner of it until the loan is paid off. She said that she wanted her name off the car. I was trying to get another loan to pay off the blazer to get her name off of it. Then One night in the middle of the night she came and took it out of the driveway at my in-laws house. She decided that she no longer wants her name on the loan. I called her and asked where it is she will not tell me. She said it is taken care of. The stuff inside the blazer does not belong to her and I can not get that stuff back. She came on private property to get it. My name is the first one on the title. I had to rent a car she will not let me have it back i make all the payments and pay the insurance on it. I paid the loan off on June 6 and I am waiting on the title to come in the mail. Is there anything i can do to get it back it is causing alot of problems because i need a car.

Re: Getting my car back

If your mother is listed as an owner, she has a right to the vehicle and to remove it. If she is just a guarantor of the loan, she committed theft by taking the vehicle. I suggest you consult an attorney or report it to the police. If your mother is in title, she will have to sign the title in the vehicle over to you. If I can be any assistance let me know.
