Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Plantiff didnt show at hearing...can he appeal decision???

Hi all

I was sued last month and the Plantiff never showed for hearing. I of course won by default. I have read that an appeal needs a valid reason. Does he have the right to appeal???

I will be filing an Answer. Should I go after the appeal too??? If so...how???

If you were sued in small claims court (district justice), the plaintiff can appeal to court, and have the case heard by an arbitration panel. If, however, the original case was before an arbitration panel, in most counties, the plaintiff cannot appeal.
