You didn't tell me your age, but yes, the warrant will remain open. You can run, but it will catch up with you. I was in municipal court when a guy was caught at 50+ for relatively minor things he did when he was 30... The judge was NOT amused when he indicated that was a long time ago (i.e. - it's no big deal today). The judge told him to wipe the smile off his face, the court takes these things seriously, then threw him in jail.

Get your sh_t together. Running is NOT an answer. You want a life? Grow up, go back, express your desire to set things right and get your life together - THAT is what will get you respect and cooperartion from the authorities.

If not for yourself, think about your family and friends. They are what give your life meaning. They can be proud of a person taking responsibility and control of their life. My brother is an alcoholic, but he took control of his life and answered for his mis-steps, and I respect the hell out of him for doing the hard thing, and the RIGHT thing.

Good luck.

You must turn yourself in. That is the only way you will stand a chance. If you get caught, you're done. Call your PO, explain that you messed up and you want to take responsibility.
