family business

My self and a family member have been business partners for 15 years.We have argued several times.He disaproves of the way i handle the employees.He told me to leave and take sometime off,and cool down.He since,changed the alarm code on the office. And is telling people that i dont work there any more.Can he lock me out like this.I am in equal partnership as a corp.He says my personal problems are why i am loosing my temper,with my employees.Can he keep me from going to work?.What should I do?

If you don't have a contract which specifies what happens on break up, what are the ownership precentages. If you are both fifty/fifty you have equal authority. If one owns more than the other The majority shareholder can probably take control. But be careful, majority owners who abuse minority shareholders face the business judgment rule.
