Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

I work in a small members only club. I have worked part time there for approx. 7 years, with the schedule of 3pm to 6pm, Mon thru Thurs. The clubs will be open on Christmas Eve but the president has given my scheduled hours to someone else, just for that day. My question is can he do this. Thank you for your time.

Sure. No contract, no union, no help from the courts. Blair county is not particularly warming to employer-employee squabbles; at least from the EE's perspective.

The law in the Commonwealth is that of Master and Servant. Any answer indicating otherwise would stoop to the theoretical and educational only. I refer to quasi-contract and Restatement theories of daily additional consideration, constructive periodic renewals, detrimental reliance as a substitute for consideration, Ks implied in law, etc. Judges here customarily throw such cases out of court without blanching. I empathize.

Call the Teamsters. or grin and bear it.

Good Luck.
