Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania
We have a barn we would like to rent out for events. Do we need a business name or do anything special? Do we need an occupancy permit?

You should check with the town hall if there's a zoning issue. Also talk to your insurance agent you'll want to have a likability policy in case.one of the event goers decide you should pay if they get injured. For real legal protection you'll need to see if forming an LLC can further protect you.
