Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania

Hit with a baseball bat

I was over my friends house and i was attacked with a baseball bat unprovaked. I am fairly sure i can sue for lost wages i was wondering if there was any other way to get money out of this. As i am missing work for quite a few weeks and i am in constant pain and i cant breathe at 100 percent yet. If you can help me please respond thank you.

If this happened less than two years ago then you could also recover money for your medical bills and pain and suffering. You should probably talk to an attorney about this. You will have to file a lawsuit if you wish to recover any monies. In Pennsylvania you have two years to file a suit for injuries, if you wait too long you might be barred from recovering.

If you want to talk feel free to give me a call at (610) 635-5555.

As Richard said, you can claim all your damages -- medical expenses, pain and suffering, etc., as well as lost wages -- in a lawsuit. Whether it's going to be possible or practical to collect from a (probable) lowlife is another question.

You can also contact the Crime Victim's Compensation Fund. It's a state agency which provides payments to crime victims for economic loss. There's a bunch of bureaucratic forms to fill out, but nothing to lose by making the application.
