Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

My husband and I are buying a car. My mom thinks we should only put one of our names on the title. She thinks this will somehow protect us from legal hassle in the future from possibly being sued or something, but I don't think it'd make a difference to have us both on the title. What is the best legal move? Both on the title or just one?

Seriously where did mom get her juris doctorate from?

There are lots of good reasons to do it either way. I would jointly title it, With insurance law suits shouldn't be a problem. However, if one of you dies suddenly there would be some hassles if the car wasn't in the survivor's name. There are all sort of legal issues that could come into play.
