Raising Rent

Is there any amount of notice a landlord is legally required to give a tennant prior raising their rent?

If there is a written lease it must be reviewed to determine any notice requirement. In the absence of any written lease, notice must be given for the period of the rental. If it is a monthly rental, the notice would be one month plus one day. The first of the month would be insufficient notice if the lease begins on the first of the month.
