rent to own

mother had passed away i was renting to own the house i now live in but nothing was in writing except my namr as c/o on morage bill can i take over the house with out my step farthers interfearance, his name is not on the house

I suggest you seek legal counsel. If you are not in title to the property an estate has to be probated. Does your mother have a will? If not your step father would have an interest in the property that you will have to buy out. The entire matter needs to be reviewed. Gerald Hershenson 215-579-9390
