Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Do I need to trim the hedges on my neighbors side?

My neighbor and I share hedges along our property line. They are old and the majority of them is on my side of teh property line. Several years ago I began trimming the hedges on their side to help out when the neighbor was injured. They now pay to have someone trim all their other hedges so I quit triming the common row. The neighbor now expects me to pay to trim the hedges on their side of the property line. I feel that if they want them to look neat and trimmed they should be responsible.

And you can't have this same conversation with the neighbor because...?

Walk next door and talk with your neighbor. Your letter was fine and no further information is needed. More importantly, my guess is that you can't see that side of the hedges so it's not your problem.

Now, go tell your wife that the lawyer you checked with agrees with her.
