power of attorney

i am devorced many years w/children. i gave my mother power of attorney. i am now recently married and didn't tell my wife of this power of attorney. is it still legal and valid.

Without see the Power of Attorney I can not advise you. If its a durable Power of Attorney then its still in force. That said if you are competent then all you need do is revoke the power of attorney. That will terminate your mother as your agent.

A Power of Attorney is a document. The person named in it is the agent. The person signing the power of attorney is the principal.
