If a person provides caregiver services to a sick friend can that person successfully collect against the estate of the sick person after his death for a fee for services rendered?

Re: Caregiver compensation from Estate

Under some circumstances if may be possible for

compensation for such services. A mere request to the

Executor of the estate may be sufficient. However,

if the amount requested is considered excessive by

the executor or the family, it may be necessary to

have testimony as to what services were performed, for

how long, whether the decedent made a promise to pay, et.

In short, more information is necessary to determine

whether a claim should be made. You should contact

an attorney and provide as many details as possible.
