There is a Federal Statute called the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. It makes it illegal for a debt collector to call you at unusual times. There is a one year statute of limitations. You may be entitled to statutory damages of up to $1,000.00, any actual damages incurred and attorney fees. If you go to my web page and click the telephone, you will find the Federal Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.
