Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

Can Separation be Forced?

My husband has tried to force a separation. We're remodeling one we planned to stay in temporarily while repairing damages to home he had when we married. I have stayed recently at other house to get it livable & he in the marital home. I went to the marital home to spend the night & clean & husband tried to force me out, called police saying I did not live there that I live elsewhere. Police left & my husband continued to coerce me to leave. We both stay at both houses. He's not having an affair, just trying to manipulate & says I have no rights to HIS property We're married. Dont we own property together? There are no grounds for divorce. Is he trying to have me leave & claim I abandoned him? I bought country house & would not refuse him access. He had the marital home before and he tries to force me from the premises. He creates arguments & calls police, lies to people, police about me. Once going home after husband asked me to go officers met me in my driveway. My husband called & said I was going to harass him & I did not live there. Shocked I told them my husband was making it up and I was not leaving my home at midnight after driving 45 minutes. (SEE CONTINUING MESSAGE)
