Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

Seperating and wanting to date

My wife has left me and we have been seperated for approx. 3 weeks. We have not been to a lawyer yet, but when we get legally seperated can I start dating? How does this work?

Re: Seperating and wanting to date

You can date, but you can also commit adultery -- which could have drastic financial effects on your marital dissolution/divorce. The answer to this question is very complex, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case. If you need more information, you can visit my family law blog (www.SCFamilyLaw.com) or our website (www.StevensFirm.com). I wish you the best of luck.
