light bill

i rent and all power bills are in the landlords name but all rentals get a

seprate bill sent to the address they live at. i went and paid my light bill that was sent from the power company and my power was turn off because they said there was 600.00 owed i ask them how they said she transferd the power from our house to another plance and transfer another to us how can this be legal and what can we do we have our bill and on the bill it gives you the meter number for each meter

I had to read your question three times and am still not sure I understand it. It would be very helpful if you used punctuation. Its hard to tell where a sentence stops and starts. The best I can figure from your explanation is that you have they are saying you owe $600 and that one place was transfered to another place, or something like that. It sounds like you haven't talked with the right person at the power company. Although its hard to read your question, I'm getting the impression that the power company has made some sort of mistake. Usually if you don't get a satisfactory answer from someone at a utility company, you will get better results by asking for a magager or supervisor. You might also want to go talk with your landlord since the bills are in his/her name. Your landlord would be ultimately responsible if the bills are not paid. You might even want to get your landlord to go talk with the power company with you to help get it straightened out. Good luck
