Can i prosecute the person that the funds was transfered to supposely by me from an account opened and closed in my name. How can i convince my bank i didnt open this account And pay-pal since it was verifed and my addresse and everthing was correct on this false account openend. Re: Someone took money from my checking account

This is probable criminal activity. Contact the police and/or the local state's attorney. Since it involves banks and mail, the FBI should probably be contacted. The authorities will want to get this stopped right away, as there are lots of people (even me) using PayPal for money transfers. In the meantime, I suggest you contact PayPal and demand they cover the loss. This is not legal advice and you are not a client. This is merely common sense recommendations for you as to some self-help measures you can take. This shows me the importance of keeping checking account information confidential.
