credit card debt

I have lost my job and have fallen behind on my credit card debts one card is threatening a judgement againts me I have no ideal exactly what that means could you help me?

It means that they are either going or have gone to court to get a judgment finding that you owe them the money. They will then be able to use that judgment to get a garnishment on your wages or your checking account or some other item of value you own (with some limitations).
