My friend is charged with aggravated assault and hit and run and he also violated his probation while doing these acts how long of jail is he looking at? Can he get help and probation instead of jail for this can he get probation for this since he was already on probation?

There are several 'moving parts' to this question. For example, it depends on whether he is actually guilty of the charges he is facing. That case may need to be resolved prior to his probation violation hearing. It depends on the facts which led to the charge. It depends on the probation officer and how lenient they are - as well as the judge and how lenient they are.

I wish I could help more, however unfortunately this is a question which would need to be specifically addressed to an attorney who is aware of the facts and who regularly practices in that jurisdiction.
