Stoping child support payment

I will like to know how I could stop the child support payment from comeing out of my paycheck.Since me and my wife was only separated for six month.the state claims I OWE alittle over 14000.00 in back child.They are going back to when the child was born.They base the amount of 258.30 on current support and 50.00 on back support a month.me and my wife are back together we both have contacted the state.stateing that she no longer need the child support payment.This has mess up my credit history.So I am asking what can I do to fix this mess. Thank you.

You need to hire an attorney immediately, to attempt to get prior order vacated or at a minimum request that the amount of arrears be reduced, and get the amount of current support stopped. I can help.

I urge you to hire a lawyer to try to straighten this out. If you were only separated for six monts, it is highly unlikely that you should have a $14,000 arrearage and hopefully a lawyer can convince the state or the court to give you credit for supporting your children with the exception of that short six month period.
