Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Tennessee

Voice mail

Who owns a voice mail or email message once it's been left for the listener or the reader? Is it a misapporiation to share them with someone other than the intended reciever?

Re: Voice mail

I need more information before I could answer that question. Ownership of the phone/voice mail system in questions would be important, but not necessarily the end of the inquiry. Who the intended receipient is and how the other party was able to access the system would be important. Also the nature of the call and the information and its relation to all involved would be important.

Please contact me with more information, and I would be happy to help more. 800.403.7868 or [email protected]
