Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Tennessee

Malpractice

My mother in law died last month from Saddle Embolism (blood clot). She showed the syntoms for the blood clot 5 days before she died. The hospital told her that there was nothing wrong with her, and did not do any tests on her at all. The Wednesday before she died they did a catscan and blood work. She was never called back about the bloodwork and they never told her anything that the catscan told either. And she died on Friday morning. We want to know if we have a case and if we should go forward with it. Thanks.

Re: Malpractice

I have read your inquiry and the answer to your question is that I certainly feel you have a case that needs to be investigated by a firm experienced in handling medical malpractice claims.

We are located in West Tennesse and will be pleased to speak to you further about your matter. Please be aware that there is a short filing deadline in TN (one year from the negligence, essentially) and accordingly, the sooner you look into this matter the better.

Best wishes,

Re: Malpractice

You have one year from the date of discovery of your mother-in-law's death under Tennessee law to file a lawsuit if you have not settled your case. The value of your case depends upon a variety of factors. You should be sure to preserve the evidence of the case as much as possible; obtain all of the medical records now. You should look at this point at obtaining assistance from a firm competent in medical malpractice law. These types of cases are very difficult to prove usually, and you should get a proper evaluation of you possible rights as soon as possible. If you would like to discuss this further with our office, we are experienced in this area and would be glad to consult with you at no cost to you. We work with firms in Nashville and Knoxville that specialize in medical malpractice. Our contact info is listed below, and our toll free number here in Franklin is 1-866-789-1886.
